MYRMID WEBHOSTING

Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

This policy is designed for a small U.S. host serving customers internationally. It should receive privacy-counsel review before public launch.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when purchasing service, requesting setup, or requesting support: name, email, domain, account username, selected plan, and request details. We process information needed to operate hosting accounts, including configuration, security, and service records. PayPal processes payments; Myrmid does not store full payment-card numbers.

2. How we use it

We use information to provide and secure hosting, set up accounts, respond to support, process or confirm billing, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and maintain reliable service. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Hosting data and service providers

Customer content belongs to the customer or lawful owner. Myrmid accesses it only when reasonably necessary for support, maintenance, security, abuse response, or law. We may use carefully selected providers for infrastructure, email, security, and payment processing solely to deliver the service or meet legal requirements.

4. International processing

Myrmid is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and countries where service providers operate; their laws may differ from those where you live. Where a transfer safeguard is required, Myrmid will use an appropriate lawful mechanism, such as contractual safeguards, an adequacy decision, or another permitted transfer mechanism.

5. Privacy rights and legal bases

Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, Myrmid relies on contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests in security and service reliability, and consent where required. Depending on the law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw consent, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a local authority. U.S. state and territorial residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, or limit sensitive-information use where applicable. We will honor applicable verified requests subject to lawful exceptions.

6. Retention, cookies, and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for service, support, billing, legal obligations, security, and abuse prevention. The public site does not use advertising cookies. Basic server logs may record IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access for security and operation. The site does not track visitors across unrelated websites for advertising or respond to Do Not Track signals because it does not conduct that activity. No online system is completely secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.

7. Children, changes, and contact

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as practices or law change; the current effective date appears above. To make a privacy request or ask a question, use the private Myrmid Support form →. We will verify requests before acting.
